It never occured to me that I would get to have an interview with an adult film star. As it is now, sometimes, I couldn't believe it. It is like a dream that I never get to experience, but well, fate has its way, so here we are!

I asked Andre the same questions I asked Val. It was amazing, you know, how the same questions can have different answers, He is an intelligent person, much like Val, and I wanted to share to you our time we spent on Instagram. (Though I wish it was personal. Haha!)

So here's my opening line:

"Good day, Yann! I was thinking of featuring you here in my page [Instagram]. Would it be okay if I repost three of your pics? Would really appreciate it, thanks!!"

He replied with a:

"Hello :) it's no problem! Especially if you tagg me on it or post my @insta as well." (FYI, yes that is a typo. It was funny, and adds the realism to this, so I added it.)

Since Val was answering questions and I was hungry for some answers, I followed up with this:

"Yep, I would definitely tag you. That's why I asked about it. And I don't know if it's appropriate but I totally liked Trivial. I already watched it. IT was hot!!!"

"Yann, would you be up for a few questions yourself? I just DM'd Valentin Braun and I will be doing a feature of him after yours. He is currently answering questions for me. I would really be happy if you would grace me with a chance to ask questions about your work [Trivial]."

Or course he said yes, so here we are. Enjoy!

5-Questions with Yann Andre

What makes Trivial special?

"For me, it's art when the [aesthetic] way of shooting shows not only sex but also emotions. The realism of the movie as a mirror effect on people and/or shows gay relationships as normal as [heterosexual] ones. Thanks to the talented Noel Alejandro, who casts normal people, not professional porn actors. It's different than mainstream because it's not only about pleasure, but also about something which is [a] part of life as eating, or working, or sleeping."

Insightful, isn't it? There is always a certain eroticism to the art porn, because it shows more than the sex itself. It shows that the people involved are normal people, not something borne of wayward imaginations and flat-out kinky fantasies.

He then asked me:

"Do you do those interview[s] with all your features? I don't see any on your profile."

Very observant, Yann! Haha! When I began this interviewing thing, I really started with Yann and Val. The people I featured on Instagram are mostly models and celebrities and you know these people, can't be bothered to answer. (No offense, models and celebrities!)

Next I asked: (My staple question, of course) What is your favorite color?

He answered:

"Blue is my color, I don't know why, I guess because the first man I fell in love with had blue eyes!? Haha!"

Okay, Yann, you did not just make me swoon!

This is so cheesy, I hate it! (Joke!) There's a comedian in you somewhere. We should find it.

Then I asked him this:

What is your spirit animal? (I asked this only to him and Val. You won't see this question again. I promise. Haha!)

He said:

"The owl, [because] I am very intuitive, I am seeking for wisdom all the time and try to see the reality beyond illusions and deceit."

Well, Yann said it! Can you say the same for yourself? We should all seek to uncover the truth in everything. That should be a basic commandment somewhere, I don't know.

Next question I asked is this:

What is your definition of love?

Yann answered with a sweet and concisely phrased words.

"Love is as simple as [it is] rare! Love is unconditional and reciprocal. Love is first about loving yourself... Love cannot be explained, and it is suffered."

See what I told you? Wise as an owl, Yann. Well said! I don't have to explain this because... that's it! When you read it, you simply understood it.

Then the question that defines them all: What is your definition of a man?

I keep on asking this because I want to delve deep into the truth of this question. Is there a universal definition? Or is it just as true as we believe it to be?

This is one of the existential questions I face everyday and I asked this in hopes of shining a light on what it really means to be a man.

Yann answered with this:

"I am against gender classifications. There are an infinite number of different men, an infinite number of definitions as well. Same for women. Biologically speaking, I would say a that a man has a dick :) and that sometimes even without a dick, somebody can feel like a man."

I guess I found my answer, huh?

I really enjoyed chatting with these two. Here's to hoping we get more wisdom from Yann and Val. Cheers, everyone!
